This was common on later FN marketed actions & rifles, but not employed in factory production on your rifle series. Further noting the safety is altered from the original striker impinging assembly to a trigger-impinging unit. Also the serial number of this model rifle was appended to the barrel which, if removed, effectively eliminating the SN itself. Neither your photos nor description reflect any barrel nomenclature which might be telling in terms of better classifying what it is. The barrel appears non-original to this model, deviating significantly in contour and rear sight feature. The stock appears typical of Husqvarna manufacture and style. Such FN as employed in the Husqvarna series, until 1954 in the Model 640, aka Hi-Power, aka Model of 1951. The action 'appears' FN Model 98 in commercial configuration, produced from 1946 onward for over a decade.
